Experts in buying residential property
The Investment Housing Company is a property acquisition company. We cover the whole of the UK and specialise in student, social and PRS housing. We are retained in a freelance capacity by corporate clients to invest their capital as part of their deployment strategy.
That means we are given a clear mandate to advise on locations, source property and underwrite deals. Each mandate will differ so we want to speak to all landlords, developers and agents who are motivated to sell property.
The type of property that we acquire

Student Accommodation
We want to buy student accommodation throughout the UK. That normally includes portfolios of HMOs or PBSA blocks with up to 300 bed spaces. Land with planning consent for PBSA schemes will also be considered.

Social Housing
We will buy blocks of apartments that have long leases in place and that are linked to LHA rates. Portfolios of HMOs in this category are being purchased, as well.

PRS
We have an appetite for complete blocks of apartments throughout the UK. They can be acquired with existing tenancies in place or with vacant possession. Portfolios of family housing or HMOs are also preferable.

Development Land
We would like to buy development land, be it green or brown field, that allows for up to nine executive units. It can be anywhere throughout the UK. Contracts can be exchanged with or without planning consent in place.
Who we represent and serve
Our clients are typically deploying capital into HMOs and complete blocks of apartments or PBSA. Lot sizes can range from £100,000 up to £50,000,000, but some requirements can be uncapped.

The Investment Housing Company was established in 2020 by Max Allison-Wright MRICS following a career in property investment. Most recently, Max was a Director at CBRE on their Residential Capital Markets Team in London.
The company prides itself on providing its clients with intelligent, calculated advice when investing in property. All of our clients are carefully vetted so that we remain well positioned in the market to be competitive in every respect.
